UIBALLET 3-Day Contemporary Intensive

2026

April 10–12, 2026 | The Hague, The Netherlands

From 10 to 12 April 2026, UIBALLET hosted a three-day Contemporary Intensive in The Hague, designed for pre-professional and professional dancers eager to expand their artistic practice, deepen their movement vocabulary, and connect with leading artists from the Dutch contemporary dance scene.

The intensive brought together internationally recognised choreographers, performers, educators and movement specialists for three days of professional training, artistic exploration and creative exchange. Participants experienced the rhythm of a professional company environment while working closely with the UIBALLET team and dancers from different backgrounds.

Across three immersive days, participants received more than 18 hours of professional training, including contemporary dance technique, repertoire, choreographic material, creative laboratory work, improvisation, instant composition, dance-specific injury prevention, artistic coaching and individual feedback.

Each day began with a complimentary Classical Ballet class at 10:00, included with every workshop booking, providing a strong technical foundation before the contemporary sessions.

The intensive was designed as an intimate and supportive learning environment, giving dancers space to receive personal guidance, explore different creative processes and build meaningful artistic connections. It also offered participants the opportunity to become acquainted with UIBALLET and be considered for future collaborations and touring productions.
